Preparing for this year's Ragnarök Festival I realized, that I had missed this album, so I closed the gap. HORN's folkish rough black metal works well on disc but also on stage, several catchy songs moved the crowd, just check "Alpenrekorder" or "Protektor". H.L.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Easily one of the most powerful Pagan Black metal albums unleashed into the world. The musicianship is phenomenal, the vocal performance is savage, and the atmosphere is a somber triumph. After my first play through I had to listen to it again. Horn has quickly become one of my favourite bands that I will champion at any time. battleslain
